As a registered non-profit, the PBO greatly appreciates donations. You can donate securely by clicking on the “Donate” button. Tax receipts are available. Thank you very much!
Get involved by joining our team of dedicated volunteers. Let us know what you can and would like to do. We often need help in the following areas:
CONCERT EVENTS
- Front of House
- Selling/Taking tickets
- Handing out programmes
- Backstage (Helping set up music stands, move instruments, chairs, etc.).
- Audience set up (Moving chairs, arranging extra seating, etc.).
- Billeting visiting musicians (usually 5 nights, may include meals).
- Meeting out-of-town musicians at the airport.
- Driving out-of-town musicians to and from rehearsals and concerts.
- Putting up posters and distributing flyers.
- Serving refreshments at intermission (usually goes with front of house tasks).
- Harpsichord moving.
SPECIALTIES AND ONGOING INVOLVEMENT
Do you have any special skills or abilities you would like to contribute to the PBO? Perhaps you’re acquainted with marketing and promotion and would like to help in that area. Fund raising is an ongoing and essential part of the well-being of an arts organization. If you have experience and skill as a fund-raiser, or would like to help via your contacts in the professional/corporate world, let us know.
We occasionally need help with tasks like stuffing envelopes, folding flyers or programmes.
Special events: A special event such as a gala dinner/auction always requires extra hands to help, and would be much appreciated.
BOARD MEMBERS
The Pacific Baroque Orchestra Society is always looking for dedicated board members. Skills and expertise are wonderful, but it’s your passion for music that is most important to us. If you want to be part of a growing and vibrant organization, we’d like to hear from you.
